Alon Humphrey was born in Anchorage AK, and then shortly move to Columbia SC. While attending Richland northeast high school he met his beautiful wife Ashley, and now have two beautiful kids named Alona 10, and Ashton 6.
Alon Humphrey currently serves in the U.S. Army as a Non-Commissioned Officer, he began his Military career in 2009 as a Petroleum Supply Specialist. While station in Germany, SGT Humphrey joined the U.S. Army Europe Band and Chorus as a baritone vocalist. Growing his passion in the entertainment field, he obtained a B.S. in Digital Cinematography, from Full Sail University in 2015, which sparked his interest to join the Army Public Affairs field.
Alon had the opportunity to preform duties as a Public Affairs Officer while deployed to Bagram, Afghanistan as a Petroleum Supply Specialist in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2015. SGT Humphrey completed the Broadcast Journalism Course at the Defense Information School in May 2016.
Alon developed stories with more than 400 internal news, He successfully distributed internal-news products across 85 news outlets with 90% supporting Army’s themes and messages. SSG Humphrey’s proved his graphic design expertise when his imagery of 3/1 AD was selected for the cover of the 2019 Army Green Book, and as a mass communications professional earning 1st Place at the 2017 DA-level Keith L. Ware competition.
SSG Humphrey deployed to Puerto Rico in support of FEMA’s Hurricane Maria Humanitarian Relief operations in September 2017, while assigned to the 24th Theater Public Affairs Support Element. SSG Humphrey and his team produced more than 350 internal-news products highlighting DoD, FEMA, FBI, CBP, DEA, and the USACE’s humanitarian relief efforts. SSG Humphrey was an integral part of telling the Army and inter-agency story to U.S. and international audiences worldwide.
